I build InferHaven, a private AI coding stack you run on hardware you control, and CodeTrain, an AI tutor that plans lessons and grades your code but never writes it for you. Solo, in the open, and the source for Core is public.

I write here about the things that turned out to be harder than they looked: bugs a test cannot see, why code review does not survive being reproduced, and what it actually costs to keep inference off someone else's servers. Mostly first-hand, mostly with the numbers attached.
